IRESE prohibits email offers between members for real estate financing of any kind outside
of the IRESE web site or in modified terms. Offers of this nature
circumvent IRESE's fee structure, may violate state or federal consumer
protection laws, and are a potential fraud risk for both property owners, brokers and investors.
Some examples of off-site real estate financing offers include:
- Using information obtained through IRESE to offer Mortgage Financing from an
investor outside of IRESE
- Using information obtained through IRESE to offer Home Equity Protection Plan from a
broker outside of IRESE
- Using information obtained through IRESE to offer Future Equity Agreement from a
broker outside of IRESE
- Canceling an application to have a Broker to offer real estate financing to an owner learned of
through IRESE
- Offering to borrow additional money above and beyond the current arrangement from brokers and investors off-site
- Offering to pay brokers or investors additional interest or other compensation (in the form
of cash or other things of value) above and beyond the terms of financing
